George J. Valcho has over 26 years of marketing, internet marketing, direct marketing, marketing system development and programming experience.
Prior to becoming a partner in The Think Network, George was self employed at White Roof Interactive, an Internet Marketing company specializing in website design and development, Search Engine Optimization, eCommerce and social media. Prior to White Roof, George was employed by Bowman Systems as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. As VP of Marketing, George was responsible for all marketing collateral, web content and design, RFP responses, and leading Bowman Systems quarterly User Group meetings. As VP of Product Management, George directed the development of Bowman’s latest version of ServicePoint. ServicePoint is a Community Management Information System used in a wide variety of Social Service settings.
Before joining Bowman Systems in Shreveport, George served as the Vice President of Client Services and Senior Technical Consultant for direct marketing agency Rapp Collins Worldwide in Dallas. George’s 17 years of experience at Rapp Collins provide him with a thorough understanding of all aspects of direct marketing, including creative development, loyalty programs, communication plans, and response analysis. However, his primary focus was building and operating databases that permitted clients to engage one-to-one with individual customers. He managed Rapp Collins’ involvement with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Hilton HHonors loyalty program, Dell Computer Corporation consumer catalogue, Bell Canada Rewards, The Loyalty Group, Sony PlayStation, Knoll Pharmaceutical, Isuzu American Motors, and Thrifty Car Rental.
Earlier in his career, George had five years of hands-on data processing experience with Dallas-based BancTec, a leader in the financial document processing industry. His primary responsibilities included programming BancTec’s Image Processing System, sales demonstrations, and training end users.
He earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Youngstown State University.
George is married to Allison Valcho and has two sons, Matthew and Daniel. George is active in the youth program at Cypress Baptist Church.
Bill Pou has been involved in sales and marketing for 30 years, of which 18 of those years have been in the advertising sector. He recently spent two years in the medical field as a marketer for STAT Home Health. His 20 years of advertising experience includes outdoor, print, and broadcast media.
Bill is a native of Shreveport, LA. He received a B.S. degree in Marketing from LSU in Baton Rouge. He moved to Dallas, TX in 1983 and spent most of his six years there in sports marketing with two professional franchises. As an account executive with Rawlings Sporting Goods, Bill moved back to Shreveport in 1989 and was responsible for entire states of Louisiana and Arkansas.
Bill joined Lamar Outdoor Advertising in 1993 and spent seven years working as an account executive and Sales Manager. He joined SB Magazine during its inception in 2000 and worked as General Sales Manager for three years. In 2003 Bill teamed up with The Radio Group and spent the next six years in broadcast media sales.
Bill and his wife Angel, also own Mrs. McGregor's Garden in Shreveport. Bill enjoys spending time with his children, Lindsey, Rex, John Peyton, and granddaughter Mamie.
Jim has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures for nearly 30 years. From the early days of his career with Beadles & Wright Food Brokers, through his most recent acquisition and divesting of Layflat Products, LLC, Jim has developed an operational model for building successful companies. He has knowledge and experience in not only the purchase and sale of businesses, but most importantly in the successful operations of a variety of companies. Jim’s areas of expertise include sales, marketing, customer service, financial management, and operations. Jim has a B.S. in Finance and a M.A. in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. He is also an adjunct professor in entrepreneurship at Louisiana State University of Shreveport for the MBA program.
